Calgary's Free Winter Light Festival Will Be Taking Over Downtown This February

Calgarians have something awesome to look forward to this Valentine's Day as the Glow Festival will literally take over downtown! This winter light festival transforms Calgary into an all-ages party complete with light installations, live music, food trucks and interactive experiences spread out over five days.

Each night of Glow will feature interactive light art and projections made by local, national and international artists. The festival is spread over three main hubs: Olympic Plaza, Harley Hotchkiss Garden, and Brookfield Place, but there are many more places where you'll find light and magic!

You will definitely want to bring your date with you on Valentine's Day because there will be a massive light installation called 'Love Lights' that you and your sweetheart can join in! You'll need tickets to see the "Make Fashion" event where you'll see light and fashion collide on the runway on Friday, February 15.

There's going to be a wild dance party on Saturday, February 16, transforming Olympic Plaza into an illuminated dance floor. Olympic Plaza will also be the home of Glow Live on Sunday, February 17 featuring local acts like Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, J.J Shiplett, The Static Shift, Brad Saunders and more.
