Calgary Is Getting A Massive Taco Festival This Month

Taco-lovers grab your napkins. 🌮🌮🌮

Calgary foodies have good reason to get excited this month. The Taco Takeover is happening this spring and it's a taco-lover's paradise. Over 14 food truck vendors are coming together to serve up their unqiue taco offering to festival-goers who will have their pick of the taco litter.

Tacos are the greatest snack food, aside from the fact that they can be a little messy to eat. Their diminuitive size lets you try a wide array of flavours and varieties. You can even make a meal of tacos by lining up three, five, seven or as many tacos as you can eat! Just bring some extra napkins or wet wipes with you and you'll be good to go.

Even though the focus of the event is on tacos, there's a ton of other fun stuff happening from Mariachi bands to piñata parties and a ton of other live music performances. This is the ultimate foodie event to get in the mood for summer and get a taste of Mexico in Calgary.

The Taco Takeover is happening over two days on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 from 11 AM to 7 PM at containR. Admission to the event is $5. There will be 14 food truck vendors slinging tacos so you'll get a chance to try a huge variety. The competition for the best taco is going to be hot!
