Summer is fast approaching and with it comes the season of all kinds of street parties and festivals! If you're looking for something incredible to do for Canada Day, then you have to check out The Mac and Cheese Festival, an epic foodie-paradise that's coming to Calgary this summer!
It's the largest mac and cheese festival ever and you will be shocked at the variety and versatility of this fan-favourite food. From mac and cheese doughnuts and funnel cakes to mac and cheese tacos and bacon-topped cheesy delights—this is the festival that pasta-lovers have been dreaming of!
As far as guilty pleasures go, mac and cheese is way up there between ice cream, cake and poutine. With no vegetables in sight, this dish is not the healthiest food ever but that's probably why it tastes so good. Since the summer is all about having fun, living large and getting out there it makes sense that it's the perfect time for a mac and cheese festival. Just drink a smoothie for breakfast on the day you head to the festival and you should be good!
You can eat mac and cheese until your heart is bursting with cheesy love at Olympic Plaza from Saturday, June 29 to Monday, July 1. Celebrating Canada day by eating a ton of mac and cheese sounds so patriotic! Check out the festival's websites for more details as they come out. The festival is totally free to attend!
