If you're a foodie in Alberta, you likely frequent UNA Pizza + Wine Calgary. From delicious, up-scale flatbreads and an extensive wine list to a trendy atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in Brooklyn, UNA is a crowd favourite in Calgary and has been for almost 10 years now. In fact, the restaurant will be turning 10 this week on January 24, 2020. In celebration of their approaching birthday, they've announced the opening of two new locations in Calgary.

UNA currently has one extremely popular location at 618 17 Ave. which is open seven days a week and is almost always packed.

On January 18, 2020, the pizza hot-spot took to Instagram to make their massive announcement. “After ten years it somehow felt like time to grow along with our city. The next few years will find us expanding into two new neighbourhoods,” they wrote.

Today we are excited to announce a new spot in Bridgeland alongside our friends @villageicecream and @philandseb in a brand new building by @rndsqr_ Look for us there in early 2021,” they continued.

This announcement could not come at a better time. With Blue Monday upon us and a massive cold snap behind us, we're in the market for good news like this.

The announcement post is blowing up with comments from excited pizza lovers in the city.

Though UNA's post only announced one of their new locations which will be landing in Bridgeland, we've spotted the second over in West Springs.

The Bridgeland location will be on 7a St. N.E. and the West Springs location will be across the road from the Truman Homes presentation centre inside a condo building.

The opening dates of the new restaurants haven't yet been announced, but we know we can expect them in early 2021.

The restaurant is a cult-favourite, known for its delicious and creative menu items.

It is the perfect place for a date or for a night out with friends.

UNA's 17 Avenue location is cozy and intimate, offering only first come first serve and no reservations. Though, you can always put your phone number down and go grab a drink somewhere else while you wait.

This place has been a total hit with locals and visitors for almost 10 years and thankfully they've decided to grow with the city and add two brand new locations.

It really doesn't get much better than a fancy pizza in a beautiful place.
