If you thought your average swimming pool was nice, you're going to have to take a seat when you see Jerry and Marina Leussink's insane backyard oasis in Sundre, Alberta. With a ton of brainstorming and even more manual labour, the Leussinks were able to transform their family farm into the ultimate summer getaway.

Back in 2013, Jerry got the idea for the pool thinking back on childhood memories of growing up with a swimming pond. After some help from family, Jerry was able to make the incredible 90-foot-long and 70-foot-wide swimming pool. The pool itself holds 1.2 million litres of water, with an impressive 14ft deep end and a shallow end for kids.

The family added a liner to keep the pool clean and decorated with large rocks to keep it in place, while adding a nautical look with wooden posts and thick rope. The Leussink family maintains the pool all on their own by adding chlorine and rotating the water with a pumping system.

The Alberta farm quickly became a summer destination for the Leussinks friends and family and even proved to be a choice destination for skating in the winter. To check out more of the pool, watch here.
