Some Canadian Servers Are Making A Huge Salary & The Internet Has Thoughts

An article posted by The National Post today has sparked widespread discussion among Canadians. The article talked about the costs of tipping culture in Canada and highlighted the high wages servers can make really.

Many people say that you "should tip more because servers live off of their tips!" Well, some servers are reportedly making up to $100,000 annually, according toThe National Post

Earlier today, the article made its way onto two different Reddit threads, Reddit Vancouver and Reddit Canada, and has since resulted in hundreds of Canadians commenting their thoughts about tipping.

We are not saying that we agree with these opinions about tipping, we are simply presenting what others have been saying about the topic. The topic is pretty controversial and has lead to people now saying that they don't believe tipping should be a thing in Canada. Not everyone feels this way, however, and there are always two sides to the story.

Tipping is a common practice at restaurants across Canada. It's typical for Canadians to tip 15% to 20% when they eat out. Of course, not everyone believes tipping should be eliminated, and many servers do not make $100,000 annually in Canada.

However, there are people, such as those listed above, who have expressed their opinion that they are not a fan of tipping culture.
