Fans of one of Canada’s most famous singers are getting behind the scenes footage of the pop star. Celine Dion’s Apple Music short film follows her on her journey to healing after the death of her husband René Angélil. She’s been candid about her struggle before, but this time viewers will get to see her healing process first hand.
Over the years, whether it be on social media, or at concerts, the pop star has never been shy about the struggles she’s endured, even allowing her late husband’s funeral to be televised back in 2012.
The documentary is called Behind Celine Dion’s Courage and in a tweet announcing the documentary, Apple Music described their newest project as a short film where “superstar @celinedion reflects on the healing experience of making her latest album.”

This isn’t the first time Dion has discussed how important the album “Courage” is to her. She opened up to Today magazine back in 2018 saying, “Courage was representing the whole losing my husband, losing my manager, my kids losing their father and to find the strength to keep going because I wanted to."
However, she also admitted in that interview to realizing that “he’s not here anymore” and that she would have to “take charge” of her life.
This documentary comes just a few weeks after Dion also suffered through the loss of her mother, someone who she has admitted also had a huge impact on her music career. Behind Celine Dion’s Courage is now streaming exclusively on Apple Music.
