Free Activity In Charlotte Includes This Insane Light Display

If you live in North Carolina or are a frequent visitor, you probably have heard or been to the U.S. National Whitewater Center. There are so many activities to do here and there is something everyone in your entire group can enjoy and love. This one free activity in Charlotte will blow your mind and leave you speechless.

The new exhibit, "Lights," at the Whitewater Center has been a hit since it has opened, and for a good reason. This completely immersive activity has unique light structures to see and it's free.

This experience is only around a half mile. You can stop and take as many pictures as you want, and trust us, you will want to.

The brains and creative genius behind this project is Meredith Connelly and you can only see these light structures at this spot. You can even go up and touch the masterpieces.

In all, there are 173 separate sculptures in 15 different installations. All of Connelly's work is inspired by natural and organic elements like honeycombs, vines, steams, crystals and even mushrooms.

Lights will be open from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every night until around the middle of February, so you still have time to see this amazing art.

You also do not need to purchase an activity pass to walk through the lights, which is a blessing because we know how expensive they can be. You only have to pay for parking that is only $6 per car.

This spot has many other activites you can experience like ice skating and rock climbing, and it is a great spot to spend some of your tax refund checks.

You'll probably work up an appetite after exploring this destination, so you can head down the road to this taco joint that has over 15 types of tacos
