Charlotte is home to a thriving nightlife, but there's a new addition to Queen City that's a step above the rest. We love a quality rooftop lounge where you can get the best views of the sweeping skyline, but we're also obsessed with an immersive bar that's more than just sitting and drinking. The city will soon welcome a venue that's the best of both worlds. This new arcade bar in Charlotte is the definition of an adult playground, and it's sure to activate your nostalgia feels.

Pins Mechanical Company and 16-Bit Bar (Pins + 16-Bit) have joined forces to open up a joint bar that promises to be the go-to spot in South End when it opens on December 19.

When the clock hits 8 p.m. and the sun sets, the venue transforms into a 21 and up space — that's when the fun really begins.

You'll have a gaming wonderland at your disposal. On top of 12 bowling lanes and over 30 arcade cabinets (with classic games like Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat), you can pick and choose between:

  • Ping Pong

  • Jenga

  • Bocce Ball

  • 20 Pinball Machines

  • Two Giant Connect 4s

  • Two Patio Pongs

  • Two Foosball Tables

  • Two Pong Console Games

When you're not time traveling back to your childhood, you can cozy around one of the four firepits with a drink from the bar. We totally recommend the "Carrie Fisher," one of the multiple colorful cocktails adorned with candy.

If that's not enough to get you pumped up, the 22,000-square-foot space is also dog-friendly. Your furry friend can even join you on the rooftop bar with skyline views. What can possibly top partying with your pup?

You can let the world know how much fun you had by adorning the giant Lite-Brite with a message on your way out.

Opening day is approaching, so mark your calendars, set your reminders, and be there when doors open at 4 p.m.
