It might be hard to believe, but the holiday season is quickly approaching. To help you get to celebrate the holidays, the CP Holiday Train will journey across Canada and the U.S this winter and bring the festive magic. Here in Canada, it will travel across the country, bringing with it colourful decorative lights, free concerts, and plenty of holiday cheer.

This year there will be two illuminated CP Holiday Trains. There will be a U.S train that departs from Montreal on November 25, 2019. This train will make stops in various U.S cities like Chicago before returning to Canada for the final stop in Gleichen, Alberta, on December 18, 2019.

The Canadian train will travel to Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia making stops in multiple cities. The 2019 journey will begin in Montreal on November 26 and end in the Vancouver area by December 17, 2019.

The Holiday Train is a massive 1000 feet in length, with 14 rail cars decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights. The best part of the train is it is completely free. At every stop, you'll be able to enjoy free music concerts of classic Christmas songs by the talented Terri Clark or Scott Helman and Madeline Merlo.

The purpose of the CP Holiday Train is to help those in need. At each train stop, food and monetary donations will be collected to support your local Food Bank. So if you can, come with some non-perishable foods to donate.

The official schedule for the CP Holiday Train has just been announced, and we can't wait to see the train when it stops near us. Across the country, it will be travelling to tons of cities including, Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Vancouver, to help you celebrate the holidays. You can find a full list of all the stops it makes across Canada on the CP Holiday website.
