Morning, afternoon, or evening, there's never a bad time to sink your teeth into a delicious donut. Soon, Texans will have one more spot to satisfy their sweet tooth cravings, and it's a brand new donut shop in Dallas. Dallasites won't have to wait very long to get their hands on these Texas-sized sweets.
The Salty Donut will open its doors on June 2, 2020. Once open, they will temporarily offer pickup and delivery options only.
Salty Donut customers have been waiting months for the shop to open. Due to the pandemic, the store's owners had to re-schedule their official opening.
If you really want to grab some dessert right away, you can check out their Instagram for pre-opening giveaways.
However, if you're feeling particularly patient, June is right around the corner and they'll be happy to serve you once their doors are officially open.
Their Dallas menu consists of an "always" menu as well as a seasonal one.
Items on their always menu, meaning they'll be available year-round, include traditional glazed, horchata, lone star, and maple and bacon donuts.
Their "sometimes" menu consists of wild, Texas-themed creations like sweet tea and bourbon, sweet corn, peach cobbler, and jalapeno jelly and cream cheese.
This will be the donut shop's first location outside of Florida, where they're originally based. After checking out the size of these donuts, it seems like they got the memo that everything's bigger in Texas.
The new dessert spot will be nestled in the Bishop Arts District near Kidd Springs and King's Highway. Get ready to be blown away by their deliciously creative donuts.
