As you binge-watch your favorite horror films throughout October or really... throughout the entire year, I'm sure you've wondered what it takes to get these movies come to life. From hair and makeup and the CGI animations to the actual performances of the actors, horror movies have piqued people's interest for years now. Texas Frightmare Weekend is a 3-day horror festival coming back to Dallas this Spring and your favorite filmmakers, actors, and of course, some wild cosplay artists will be there!
Texas Frightmare Weekend will be held from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3.
The Hyatt Regency Hotel will be hosting the event in one of their ballrooms which allows for some incredibly cool horror booths to be set-up for all to enjoy.
Some of those booths will have an E.T. reunion with the actors from the classic movie as well as a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Reunion!
Previous events had some pretty name-worthy celebs in attendance.
Attendees got to meet THE Norman Bates and talk about the horrors of the filming the Bates Motel series.
Imagine meeting your horror icons while dressed up as your favorite fearsome characters from all the classics!
Tickets range from $30-60 with a selection of one-day passes, full-weekend passes, and a bundle-weekend pass for groups of 4.
If you've ever wanted to dress up like it's Halloween but feared being stared at, this is the place to do it!
Witches, Vampires, Famous Serial Killers... yes, all things horror will be there!
If you were also curious about what it takes to make a successful horror film, submissions are currently open on their website.
The best one submitted will be played at the convention and could become the next breakout cult classic.
So put on your favorite costume and make a scene! You won't wanna miss out on this spooky opportunity.
