Dallas might be ridiculously cold right now, but we all know that the unbearable Texas heat will be back before we know it. If you're anything like us, you probably already have a list of all the ice cream shops you're going to visit as soon as summer arrives. Carrollton's newest ice cream shop will be opening its doors soon and thanks to their fish-shaped waffle cones should be at the very top of your list.
According to Eater Dallas, an official date for Somi Somi's grand opening hasn't been set yet, but we're hoping it'll be here as soon as the hot weather hits.
This is the second shop in the Metroplex with the first having opened this time last year in Frisco.
The new shop will be located at the popular Carrollton Town Center at George Bush and Old Denton Road.
Somi Somi is known for its ridiculously cute fish-shaped cones, thanks to their Insta-worthy appearance and overall delicious taste.
They also offer Taiyaki in fish shapes which can be filled with a variety of flavors. Some of the Taiyaki fillings you can get are Nutella, custard, red bean, and taro.
Their fish-shaped waffle cones are filled with deliciousness and topped with the ice cream of your choice. Some of your options include Oreo, ube, black sesame, milk tea, and more.
Of course, no ice cream would be complete without sprinkles, so there are plenty of those to add on top of your masterpiece.
Treats at this mouthwatering shop are around $5, but the price depends on what you choose to get.
The shop does carry shakes on the off chance that you're feeling more like a cold drink rather than something to munch on.
They also sell their ice cream in a cup, but don't worry; you'll still be able to top it off with an adorable fish-shaped cone.
While we wait for this amazing shop to open, you can stop by one of Dallas' many festivals this spring, all of which will have something tasty for you to try.
We can't wait to melt over how adorable these ice cream cones are when the shop finally opens while melting in the unavoidable Texas heat.
