Dallas' Klyde Warren Park Is Getting An Incredible $60 Million Expansion (VIDEO)

Klyde Warren Park has been the talk of the town since it popped up in the middle of the Dallas freeway. Over the years, more parks have been trying to complete with the park, but no one has come close. Klyde Warren Park has announced it is getting a $60 million expansion.

Kelcy Warren and his wife Amy are donating $20 million for the development herself as the park is named after their son. The park will expand one and a half acres towards Field Street and is set to be completed in 2024.

In addition to more green space, the park will gain a three-story rental pavilion. The building will be completely enclosed and feature a café, a rooftop deck, and a special events ballroom. In renderings of the pavilion, it seems like there will be underground parking for visitors to the park

The park will also gain a fountain that will light up at night. The children's playground will be getting an upgrade as well, including more water features for those hot summer days plus tons more new, upgraded features. New picnic areas are going to be added since there are always tons of yummy food trucks around.

Currently, the park is about five acres big, and it resides right across the street from the Dallas Museum of Art. You'll often find free activities at the park, and we're sure that won't change with all these new features coming soon.

One of the recent free things to pop up at this famous park has been a giant inflatable poop (Yes, you read that right). You can also check out Pacific Plaza Park, which recently opened near Kyled Warren Park itself.
