Denton Is Having A Spooky And Free 'Day Of The Dead' Fest This October

It's going to be a scary good time.

Get ready to put on your best Catrina makeup and party the day away because Denton is having a Day of the Dead celebration on October 27. The celebration will have everything you need to have fun and maybe even get a little spooked. The event will feature things like a haunted circus, costume contest, a parade, and more. 

The event is meant to celebrate Dia De Los Muertos, Halloween, and the fall harvest. Vendors from all over the metroplex come to celebrate and even participate in the coffin races. During the races, all of the cars are coffin-shaped.  Anyone who is 12 years of age or older can participate in the race but you will have to build your own car.

Later at night when the sunsets, you will be able to witness the Twilight Lantern Parade which features tons of amazing instagramable lights. You will be able to design your own lantern to bring and really participate in the fun.

 Everywhere you see there will be a chance to take a beautiful picture but one of the best places will be the pumpkin patch. The patch is totally free to enter and there will be a variety of games and activities inside to do.

The event will be the entire day and is free to entire but games and other activities will have fees. No matter what age the event will be tons of fun. The shops around the event tend to have specials and deals so feel free to check them out.
