If you're looking for the coolest things to do this upcoming April, we have a great suggestion for you. The incredible Water Lantern Festival is coming to Fort Worth on April 6th. The magical floating lights event will be held at Panther Island Pavilion at 395 Purcey St to give its guests the most unique and beautiful experience of the year!
From 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. you will be able to enjoy the beauty of hundreds of beautiful lanterns floating in the water. There will be food trucks at the event but you are also more than welcome to bring a cooler for yourself and a buddy to have an adorable picnic. Bringing picnic blankets and lawn chairs are recommended as they will not provide any for you.
If you're worried that the lanterns might pollute the environment, you don't have to worry because the festival has their own team of cleaners that come and take up all the lanterns to make sure the environment is left in the best condition. Tickets to the event start at $25 right now but will increse to $40 at the door the day of.
When you get your ticket you will also receive a lantern and a marker so you can decorate it in any way you want and find yours when it leaves with the pack.
Lantern launch is between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. but before then you will be able to enjoy food, music and games.
The event lights up the night with a beautiful yellow glow that will make you forget all of your worries.
There is no age limit for the festival and if Texas weather decides to be murky, the event will be rescheduled within 120 days.
