This fall is getting wilder!
You Can Go On A Night Safari Tour For A Limited Time In North Texas

Going on a local safari can be tons of fun and much cheaper than going to the actual Savanna. But what if you could experience all that at night when the animals are on the prowl? Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, near Dallas, is offering their guests a chance to experience a three-hour safari tour at night. On August 23rd and a date in September and October each, guests will be able to observe the nocturnal habits of animals and listen to all the nighttime sounds nature has to offer.

The tour isn't just a car tour either, as visitors will use spotlights to hike around the area. At the end of the evening, you will be led to the outlook area, where you can get a glimpse of what the center looks like after hours. The tour starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m. There are only 16 openings on the tour — but don't worry, if you can't make it to this tour there will be another one on September 13th and one more on October 18th. Spots fill up fast so we recommend you call in advance to book your tour. The price for the tour is $35 per person.

Fossil Rim will continue to have its regular tours like the "Crack O'Dawn" tour which starts at 7:30 a.m. and their self guided tour where you can drive your own car around the park to see all the animals running wild.

The wildlife center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day of the week. No matter what amazing tour you choose to go on we recommend calling and booking a few days in advance to ensure your spot.

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is located at 2299 County Road 2008, Glen Rose, Texas 76043. For more information on the tours and to get your tickets, you can visit the website here.
