Texas' Blueberry Festival Is Coming This Summer And It's Free

There are tons of festivals in Texas every time of the year, but our favorite ones are those dedicated to the season's fresh harvests. We simply can't resist some mouthwatering food and drinks carefully crafted with garden-fresh ingredients, and paired with a side of music, parades, and games. If you are also on the lookout for this type of event, Texas' Blueberry Festival is coming near Dallas this summer. 

The Texas Blueberry Festival is quite a tradition in Nacogdoches. The cute seasonal event is the place to go this summer if you love the sweet and tangy blue fruit.

There will be blueberry flavored everything and blueberry- themed activities from pet parades, and blueberry photo-ops to delicious food and beverages. 

Get ready to go berry picking, and to taste the freshest blueberry cheesecakes, pancakes, pies, and the cutest blue lemonades.

Texas' Blueberry Festival is coming this summer to Nacogdoches, and you can have a great time for free.

The purple-y and fruity 'explosion' will take place in downtown Nacogdoches on June 13, 2020. The day-long festivities will kick off at 8:00 a.m. and will keep running until 4:00 p.m.

This will be one of the most delicious festivals in the Lone Star State. Besides all the blueberry treats, you can taste all-time-favorites fair foods like crispy corn dogs.

There will be three different entertainment stages at this event featuring all sorts of artistic and live music presentations. A fourth stage will also have cooking demonstrations. 

Other activities you can enjoy at this festival are a car show, blueberry themed pet parade, Mr. & Miss Blueberry pageant, a 5K run/walk, pie-eating contests, festival of quilts, blueberry cupcake battle and much more.

If you want to take home some fresh blueberries, you can buy some near the City Hall at Pilar and S. Pecan St. intersection.

There's also the opportunity to go pick your own baskets of fruit. Festival shuttles will take attendees to the farm approximately every ten minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You can pick blueberries for $1.50/lb.
