Seesaws are a part of a lot of people's childhood but you probably never seen anything like this. Dallas is getting a new art installation on April 13 called Impulse.

Impulse is a group of giant seesaws that light up when you sit on them. Once you begin to seesaw they will start to play music from its built-in speakers. The installation is part of Dallas' Changing Perspectives Block Party which will take place the same day from 6 p.m. to midnight.

The installation will have two locations during its time in Dallas. The first will be Sammons Park at 2403 Flora St. from April 13 to the 22. The second will be from April 25 to May 6 Main Street Garden at 1902 Main St. The installation will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day while in Dallas.

Impluse was originally set in Montreal in 2016 where 30 seesaws where installed with the goal of getting more people to visit Montreal's Cultural District.

The seesaws come in two lengths and revert to being horizontal and dim when they are not in use.

The Changing Perfectives Block Party where the seesaws will debut is free and open to the public.

If you chose to attend the event you can expect music, food truck and plenty of entertainment. Including performances from local and national artists. There will also be a chance for you to take selfies with the seesaws at the event. For more on this event, you can visit their website.
