A Giant & Colorful Tulip Festival Is Coming Near Dallas This Month
Spring is one of our favorite seasons in Texas for many reasons, but springtime is probably the most beautiful. Who can resist posing under the sun at an endless wildflower field or a sea of colorful tulips? It is always a magical experience. If you are a fan of floral events, a tulip festival is coming near Dallas this month and you can't miss the gorgeous experience.
On Saturday, March 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Poston Gardens in Waxahachie will be the venue for the cutest Tulip Show.
The incredibly colorful spot is located less than 30 minutes away from Dallas.
The event is a spring market & festival that will take you to a literal "Sea of Tulips" while you enjoy live music performances, arts & crafts workshops, a variety of vendors, food & drinks and even a car show.
Poston Gardens, a 60-acre tulip garden, is an initiative of John Poston, a flower lover. According to the event's website, in 2019 he imported no less than 1 million tulips from Holland.
Poston is also the founder of Daymark Living, a residential community for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Part of the funds raised by the festival will benefit that noble cause.
The Tulip Show at Poston Gardens will be a rain or shine event, so take an umbrella with you just in case. Don't worry because the pictures with it will be just as gorgeous.
Since the gardens have just opened, this will be an awesome opportunity to go picking tulips and take home a pretty bouquet. They will be providing services for six weeks.
On the festival grounds, you will find plenty of shopping opportunities. Local vendors and artisans offering unique gifts, home decor pieces, vintage, and repurposed items and much more.
The admission ticket for the festival is $20 per person and there is a parking fee of $5. Once you enter the festival, you will be able to purchase food and drinks.
