Texas has plenty of amazing places to spend the night but you will need to add this one to your bucket list. The Cell Block is a transformed prison cell where you can spend the night in Clifton, TX about an hour outside of Dallas.

The cell was originally used to house people who got just a little too drunk in public or those who felt like their fists were stronger than their words. The cell was also used as an office for the night watchmen. Once they stopped using it to keep those who needed containment overnight, they transformed it into a very chic place for tourists to spend the night.

The Cell Block comes with a queen-sized bed as well as a lounging area. The place also has a rooftop deck with a fire pit where you can snack and relax while warming up in the chilly evening weather.

To pay homage to the cells beginnings, the hosts give you a complimentary bottle of wine and if that's not enough to make you want to do the cell block tango, you can also get a flask of whiskey.

When you spend the night you won't be able to watch TV but they do provide a phonograph and records for you to keep the party going all night long.

Don't worry about having to use the bathroom in your bedroom because lucky for you they have a completed bathroom with a shower and some on brand "Don't Drop" soap.

Rates start at $225 for two people but can work their way up to $260 depending on the day of the week.

The Cell Block is located at 120 Clifton Art Alley Clifton, Texas. You can visit their website for more information and to make reservations here.
