‘Schitt’s Creek’ Star Dan Levy Talks About His Love For Canada In An Interview With Ellen

If you live in Canada, chances are quite high you may have seen, or at least heard of a show called Schitt's Creek, created by Eugene Levy and his son Dan. The show came out in 2015 and is currently on its fifth season, which shows just how much audiences love it. People not only love the writing and storyline of the show, but they definitely love the cast as well! Dan Levy from Schitt's Creek absolutely loves Canada.

Seeing as he was born in the city of Toronto, it just makes sense for Dan to love Canada, but can you really blame him? Just this morning Dan was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and the two talked about just how great our country is, and how kind the people are.

"We've done a tour, which is a really hard thing for a group of Canadians," Levy said. "To walk out in front of a room full of people and have them applaud you is almost against our DNA. When that happens, our bodies are almost saying, 'No, no, this is not something that should happen! Yet, you accept it."

Levy also gave a shoutout to the people in his hometown for being so polite, and "always saying their please and thank yous". He and Ellen then went on to talk some more about Schitt's Creek, how far the show has come, and how people like Ellen have allowed for Levy to tell a queer love story on television.

"For me to be able to tell a queer love story on television, freely and without any notes from anyone is a really rare and wonderful thing... I would not be here if it wasn't for you. I would not be telling the stories I'm telling had you not told the stories that you told. You have affected me so greatly, and the way we can tell love stories on television these days, so thank you."
