The past five seasons of Schitt's Creek have been a family affair both on and off-screen. Canadian legend Eugene Levy co-created and stars in the comedy with his son, but did you know that Dan Levy's sister Sarah Levy is also on Schitt's Creek? Like her brother and father, the Canadian actress has also worked on the show since it's very beginnings.
Eugene Levy himself plays the Rose family's confident father Johnny, and the Schitt's Creek apothecary owner, David Rose, is portrayed by none other than Dan.
However, if you've ever wondered why a certain waitress at Schitt's Creek's Cafe Tropical resembled some of the Roses a little too much, you're right. The Levy genes are too obvious to hide.
While Annie Murphy takes on the role of Eugene's on-screen daughter, Alexis, Sarah portrays the role of Twyla, a town native that has grown close to the Rose family since their arrival.
Sarah is the youngest of the Levy clan following her father, brother, and mother Deborah Divine.
The in-real-life family has been nothing but successful in Hollywood since Eugene started working in 1969, but have confirmed they were raised as Canadians with Dan even admitting, "I say 'sorry' a lot...sorry?"
Both Dan and Sarah were born and raised in Toronto, going to local public and private schools growing up and eventually studying at well known Canadian universities like Ryerson, York, and Dalhousie.
With Schitt's Creek coming to an end after it's upcoming season, the Levys not only had to say goodbye to their fellow castmates but they also bid farewell to working together after six years.
The family may not spend their time cooped up in a motel together, but they aren't afraid to show support for one another's achievements or to show some casual family moments on Instagram.
You can catch Eugene, Dan, and Sarah Levy on the final season of Schitt's Creek airing January 7, 2020.
