Canada's Latest Sunset Will Be At 8:01 PM On Sunday & It's Not Because Of The Time Change

Clocks will spring forward for most parts of the country but not all.

The latest sunset after daylight saving time in Canada will be at 8:01 p.m., but it's not actually because of the time change.

While people in most parts of the country will lose an hour of sleep when the clocks go forward, it might be worth it because it means the sun will set later.

Here are the sunrise and sunset times for cities in Canada on March 14.

Vancouver, B.C.

Sunrise: 7:27 a.m.

Sunset: 7:16 p.m.

Whitehorse, Yukon

Sunrise: 8:18 a.m.

Sunset: 8:01 p.m.

There is no time change in Yukon because the territory got rid of the twice-annual practice in March 2020.

Edmonton, Alberta

Sunrise: 7:49 a.m.

Sunset: 7:37 p.m.

Yellowknife, Northwest Territories

Sunrise: 7:57 a.m.

Sunset: 7:37 p.m.

Regina, Saskatchewan

Sunrise: 7:13 a.m.

Sunset: 7:02 p.m.

The clocks don't spring forward or fall backward here because Saskatchewan said goodbye to time changes decades ago.

Winnipeg, Manitoba

Sunrise: 7:43 a.m.

Sunset: 7:32 p.m.

Toronto, Ontario

Sunrise: 7:31 a.m.
