Canadians are gearing up to cash in on big savings on Friday, November 29. Since it's the birthplace of the craziest shopping day of the year, we got curious and wanted to look at the best American Black Friday deals. Turns out, there are a few deals that are totally worth driving over the border.

British Columbians aren't immune to the charms of a quick hop over the border for cheap gas and to shop at stores you just don't find in Canada.

Shopping spots in Washington State like Bellis Fair in Bellingham and Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip see an influx of Canadians year-round hunting for deals.

After all, where else can you stock up on adorable housewares from Target?

Or shop at a Forever 21 sale that hasn't been completely cleared out?

Black Friday sales have already begun at so many stores, but the official day when the deals could be at their best is on Friday, November 29.

It's supposed to be a little icy across B.C. so make sure your car is winter-ready before you go deal hunting.

If you have the day off, or maybe you feel a "cold" coming on, then you should pack up the car and head out on the road to score some of the best Black Friday sales you've never seen before in Canada.

Victoria's Secret

Why You Need It: This is their most epic sale of the year and you can expect everything from BOGO deals to their favourite picks like cozy sweaters and bathrobes for just $35

Why You Need It: Walmart on Black Friday is not for amateurs — it can get real crazy real fast. But it could be worth it if you're looking to save on a big-ticket item like a TV for less than $100.

Abercrombie & Fitch

Why You Need It: Get up to 50% off your favourite wardrobe staples at Abercrombie & Fitch this Black Friday.

Why You Need It: Walgreens is a foreign concept to Canadians, but it's not so different from a Walmart with a more drug store feel. Their Black Friday deals will be insane, including 50% the most popular fragrances.

Why You Need It: Experience Black Friday madness at it's most crazy at Costco. Whether you want to save big on a case of food too big to reasonably eat or snag doorbuster prices — like $200 off a Macbook Air or $100 off a Dyson Ball Vaccum.
