If you’ve been waiting for a reason to book that once-in-a-lifetime trip to Las Vegas, the time has officially come. To celebrate Canadian Appreciation Month in Las Vegas, Expedia is giving Canadians the opportunity to take the trip of their lifetime, without breaking the bank. Throughout the month of October, the travel company is offering special discounts across the board, to make your Las Vegas vacation the most Canadian adventure ever.
According to a news release from Expedia, October is officially Canadian Appreciation Month in Las Vegas. For Canadians who want to embrace their true "Canada," while exploring the bright lights of Vegas, there has never been a more perfect time to travel.
Expedia is offering big discounts on all of the city’s most "Canadian" activities. From Canadian celebrity chefs and Cirque du Soleil to Shania Twain and the NHL, this is about as Canadian as a trip to Vegas could ever be.
Expedia.ca is not only bringing Canada to Vegas but is offering Canadian locals 15% or more off select hotels for their October trip. For anyone who wants to book a luxury stay at The Venetian Resort, you will also be eligible for a free upgrade and free breakfast - just for being Canadian!
To make sure that Canadians will feel well and truly at home during their October Vegas vacation, Expedia is offering various discounts and travel tips for hockey games, poutine, and Drake-related encounters.
Their Canada-inspired entertainment recommendations include Canada-born show Cirque du Soleil, as well as visiting Shania Twain at her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood's Zappos Theatre.
For those who would rather get up-close-and-personal with Drake, his wax-likeness is on display at the Vegas Madame Tussaud's. The fully-interactive set even allows you to take selfies with Drizzy himself.
If you’re still not convinced, Expedia also promises to ensure that Canadians are well fed during their vacation in Las Vegas by offering their very own answer to poutine. Expedia suggests heading into the official bar of the NHL Vegas Golden Knights for a beautiful “combination of poutine, beer and hockey.”
If you truly want to get into the spirit of Canada-in-Vegas, you can also catch one of their local NHL games. The Vegas Golden Knights will be playing in Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena throughout October, and will even face off against some of Canada’s biggest teams.
Expedia’s own data suggests that Las Vegas is one of the top destinations for Canadian travellers year after year. They also found that it is one of the top worldwide destinations for an “impulse trip” — if that’s not a sign to get to Vegas ASAP, I don’t know what is!
