If you're looking to upgrade your book collection, we've got some good news for you. The Toronto Reference Library book sale is happening next month, and books will be as cheap as 10 cents. This is their annual clearance sale and it will be happening on March 19, so mark your calendar.

UPDATE: TPL announced on March 12 that the sale has been cancelled due to "staffing issues."

EARLIER: This is definitely the best deal you will find on books in the city. Prices will vary from 10 cents to a dollar for a wide array of donated books as well as some from the library's own collection.

There will be a selection of 15,000 books, CDs and DVDs to choose from, so bring more than one bag if you want to stock up. The library asks that you bring your own bags, as they will not be providing any.

The sale will be taking place from 9 a.m. on March 19, which is a Thursday. The event will go on until 7 p.m., or until supplies last, according to their website

Expect line-ups when you get there because these cheap book sales are always super popular. The sale is one day only, so get there early for the best finds.

You can walk out with a whole new library of your own for under $10.

The sale will be happening on the second floor of the library, at the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon.

All proceeds will go towards servicing the Toronto Public Library and library programs, according to the website.

The event will be cash-only because everything is so cheap, so make sure to come prepared with change.

This could be the perfect opportunity to find some second-hand books for any upcoming classes you may have, or just for your own personal collection.

Either way, this sale will benefit all those who attend. The huge selection, as well as the fun of browsing, is definitely a reason to hit up this book extravaganza, courtesy of the Toronto Public Library.
