Books can transport us to places beyond our imagination but buying more than one book on your trip to the local book store can quickly add up. Thankfully, Houston is having a massive book sale at their public library on November 2. The sale will have a vast selection of books, both new and gently used.
The books will be anywhere from $2 to $5 depending on the genre and if the book is paperback or not. The sale will open early for those who are members of Friends of the Houston Public Library, but from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., it will be open to the general public. If you are one of those lucky members, the sale will open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. so you can get a sneak peek at all the goodies you can take home.
The sale will be held at their warehouse, so you'll have a giant selection of books to choose from. You'll find everything from classics to more modern tales. There is no limit to how many books you can pick out at this wild event.
The Big Bargon Sale will be the last one of the year. The next one isn't until March so this would be the perfect time to stock up on tons of books to curl up with during the fall weather.
Entrance to the event is free, so you only have to worry about saving money for books. Pick out as many books as you wish and enjoy reading all season long.
In the meantime, you can see how Texans have been reacting to the cold front that is sweeping through the state. Here's a hint: there are lots of memes.
