This Hidden Bar In Detroit Is A Cotton Candy Dream
When it comes to hidden bars in Detroit , this place is a pink paradise and we're obsessed. The interior is almost entirely every shade of beautiful blush. Candy Bar has got to be one of the most Instagrammable bars in the city right now.
To get into the bar, you enter the lobby of Siren Hotel, head to the mysterious red velvet curtain next to the bookcase and boom — enter a crazy cotton candy escape.
The setting is very intimate, with only about ten tables and seven seats. On weekends they maintain a waiting list at the door, and you can't call ahead for reservations.
This really gives the secret speakeasy an old-fashioned feel since you're going there hoping for a short wait. On a weekday, you'll likely be able to get right in, but be prepared to wait in the lobby of the hotel on busier nights.
This vintage vibe is definitely present in the decor. You'll feel like you just entered a jazzy bar from the '60s with its crushed pink velvet booths and ceilings with custom molding and corners filled with decorative wood pieces that reach to the ceiling and almost looks like palm trees.
This bar really brings in an LA feel with its Old Hollywood Glamour.
The craft cocktails can get a bit pricy, but they're within the price range of most upscale bars that you'll find downtown.
They open at 5 p.m. and are open until 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

This is a great place to either start or end a night, depending on who you're with and what kind of night you're looking for.
Last year, it was named the best-designed bar in Michigan by Architectural Digest so we'd say it's totally worth checking out.
