You Can Have A Dreamy Date Night Up In The Clouds At Michigan's Tallest Restaurant

It's almost 700 feet tall!
Restaurant In Detroit Will Have You Dining Up In The Clouds

Romance is not dead, but it does take a little bit of effort and imagination. There are plenty of restaurants in Detroit that are romantic but if you want to push it even further, you can check out Highlands Steakhouse. It's located on the 71st floor of the General Motors Renaissance Center which is right on the Detroit River.

That means the views are absolutely unreal. Floating up amongst the clouds with a view of the whole city before you has got to be one of the dreamiest spots to have a date night.

You can watch the sunset as you gaze across the water and towards Canada.

There are floor to ceiling windows that span most of the restaurant so beautiful light will flood in during the early evening and during nighttime, you'll be able to see the bright city lights of bustling downtown and beyond.

If you think the Spanish Tapas style of dining is fun, you can order mostly small plates. They have red meat, seafood, and vegan options in almost every category of the menu.

There are very luxe options here like wagyu beef and oysters. Pair that with one of their many red wines on the menu and you'll have one classy meal in front of you.

You can make a reservation here

Once you're finished with your dinner, you can head over to High Bar, which is on the same floor.

They offer a decadent combo for after dinner: innovative desserts and scotch.

If you want a more drastic change of scenery for your post-dinner drink, check out this hidden bar that's decked out in pink vintage or this underground bar that might give you the thrill of Prohibition-era drinking.

If there's someone super special in your life, then this restaurant will match their importance. Have fun floating in the sky!
