This Hidden Tiki Bar In Detroit Ups Their Festivity With Enchanting Christmas Lights

We're miles and months away from remembering what it's like to lay out in the sun and enjoy the beach, but the summer vibe doesn't have to end just because the weather isn't cooperating. This Detroit tiki bar is a little tropical vacation from the harsh Michigan winter.

It's a little hidden, but that's part of the appeal! There's no sign outside, but there is a little wooden flag that lets you know you're in the right place.

The bar is right in the heart of Mexicantown and it's a great place to stop in for a drink after some of the best tacos in Detroit.

The place has strung up twinkling Christmas lights along with their normal decor. Sitting in this mini tropic feels like the best way to spend the holidays. 

The ambiance is a huge part of the attraction of this bar, but don't ignore the drinks. They have amazing combinations that will instantly transport your mind to a beach in the Caribbean.

Most of the drinks have their custom tiki glasses in the shapes of tropical animals and fish. 

One of the most stunning glasses comes in the shape of a peacock and the drink is just as good. It contains rum, passion fruit, pineapple, lime, and salt.

If that doesn't give your winter blues a run for their money then nothing will.

They have weekly karaoke and you might have to break out Hawaiin Roller Coaster Ride from Lilo & Stitch next time you're there. 

It's a small place so you might have to wait to get in, but it's well worth it because the bartenders are friendly and their drinks are even friendlier.
