9 Delicious Treats You Have To Try At Edmonton’s New Christmas Market
From fresh pretzels and savoury pies to mulled wine and pastries!
A new Christmas event has arrived in Edmonton and it's unlike anything the city has seen before. Theopened its doors last week and invites everyone to enjoy and explore a world of holiday fun. There's so much to see, do, eat and drink at this four-week event, and we've got all the details.
Located at ATB Place, the market features both indoor and outdoor activities including wooden huts selling one-of-a-kind items, bright light installations and winter carnival games.
One of the main highlights of this event is, of course, the food and drinks. Between mugs of Glühwein, chocolate, hot pretzels and sausages, you'll want to treat yourself to an entire Bavarian feast.
According to Wild Heart Collective YEG, the vendors will rotate throughout the month-long festival, with 40 showcased each week.
There will be pop-ups with different foods to try and a long roster of Edmonton artists taking the stage. Needless to say, you'll want to visit more than once!
First, you'll want to hit up Meuwly's Artisan Food Market, the outdoor huts selling artisan condiments and fresh cooked bratwursts. You can also try Meuwly's Charcuterie for two, which includes vegan and gluten-free options.
The market is also serving fresh warm pretzels, made by the students of Trinity Youth Project, a local group that focuses on harm reduction.
When you're ready for something sweet, you'll be spoiled for choice. Persian Empire Pastry has you covered for baked goodies.
Finally, when you're ready for something warm and boozy, you can head over to the Christmas Spirits Beverage Garden and sip European mulled wine or festive cocktails.
