Starting only a few hours drive from Toronto, the Apple Pie Trail starts in Blue Mountain and goes to Beaver Valley, Thornbury, Meaford, Beaver Valley, Duntroon. The route will lead you to past 28 local apple orchards, and to restaurants and cafes selling the most delicious apple pies you have ever tried!

The Apple Pie Trail is a self-guided tour. Following the Apple Pie Trail map, you can stop at the marked restaurants, cafes, markets, orchards where you can pick-your-own apples, cider houses, and bakeries en route. With so many spots to explore, you can either try to visit as many as possible in a day or spend a weekend going from stop to stop.

Three spots you won't want to miss on the Apple Pie Trail are Blackbird Pie Company, Thornbury Bakery Café, and Goldsmith's Orchard Market. Blackbird Pie Company is located in the hamlet of Heathcote and is known for its classic apple pie. While at Thornbury Bakery Café, you need to try a slice of their Red Prince Apple Pie, and at Goldsmith's Orchard Market, you can buy a Thornberry Apple Pie to take home.

In addition to all the mouthwatering pies, you can also enjoy trying a variety of apple ciders at Beaver Valley Orchard & Cidery and Thornbury Village Cider House & Brewery. Or if you are looking for something more savoury, some of the restaurants offer meals using apples too. For example, Rusty's at Blue sells applewood smoked bbq.
