You Can Get Shake Shack’s Famous Burgers So Close To The Ontario Border
We just can't shake this craving!
With a bunch of exclusive fast-food joints, it’s safe to say we’re pretty jealous of the burger selection located exclusively south of the border. Most of us can’t afford the trip to California that’s needed to dive into some In N’ Out animal-style fries, for instance. But, if you’ve been craving the juicy smash burgers and gooey cheese fries that Shake Shack is famous for, you'll be pleased to know there's more than one Shake Shack near Ontario within road-tripping distance.
The city of Detroit, Mich. and the surrounding metropolitan area has several locations that are within reach for southern Ontarians. One of those is a tiny hop across the border in downtown Detroit, tantalizing close to the Windsor crossing.
That’s right, in a matter of minutes you could be inside one of these iconic restaurants, knee-deep in burgs.
Honestly, has crossing the border ever felt more worth it?
While the shack is known for its crinkle-cut fries (which are best served smothered in house-made cheese sauce) and tasty burgers, it actually all started with a tiny hot dog cart in Madison Square Park.
Today, you can find the restaurant all across the states, in China, Mexico, Turkey, the U.K., and more.
So, while we wait for Canada to be on that list, why not take a quick day trip across the border with your besties?
, located in Seattle, Wash., and now so does southern Ontario.
The menu may change from location to location, but all of the staple items tend to remain universal.
Their famous cheese sauce is made with a blend of American and cheddar, and it soaks perfectly into the crinkle-cut fries.
For extra indulgence, you can even get them topped with crispy bacon bits. Are you getting in the car yet?
With a handful of fresh burgers and chicken sammies to choose from, deciding what to order will be the hardest part.
Of course, if burgers aren’t your thing, they still serve the hotdogs that started it all, as well.
The dogs are split open and grilled to crispy perfection on the flat top.
Finally, you don’t need to feel so left out when it comes to delicious treats. Simply get your besties together and get those passports ready.
