We know you enjoyed seeing some of the over-the-top food from yesterday. Today, we've got even more of where that came from! Here is another crazy list of specimens from yesterday's CNE 2019 food tasting extravaganza.
First up, we present to you Wasabi Spice Cream from Black Halo. It is cooling yet spicy hot at the same time. A must-try!
This unicorn funnel cake from The Funnel Cake Shop is the perfect food for the CNE, in our opinion. Colourful, sweet, extravagant, and, well, funnel cake. What more do you need?
If you thought yesterday's pickle lemonade was weird, you're right. This is another beautifully strange way to enjoy pickles. This pickle pizza from R&J concessions is actually so good. The pizza is hand-tossed, it has a speciality dill sauce, and fresh mozzarella. Topped with crunchy pickles and dill weed - dill-licious!
The Tokyo Street Dog from Street Dogs is a juicy beef hot dog deep-fried in tempura batter and topped with Japanese mayo, teriyaki sauce, and crispy nori.
Next up is the Maple Bacon Churropop from Poncho's. A self-explanatory delight.
This mushroom coffee from Hula Girl is actually super healthy and could probably rouse you from the sugar coma you've likely found yourself in by now.
This Smouldering Fire and Ice Bowl from Black Halo is a mix of charcoal and fiery spice cream served in a smoking bowl. Presentation at its finest.
These Pho Fries from Supa Fries use all the ingredients in a bowl of pho (marinated beef, cilantro, red onions, green onions, lime, sriracha mayo aioli, bean sprouts), but replaces the noodles with fries.
The choices are piling up! Now, we've got some deep-fried avocado tacos from The Whole Enchilada. Creamy deep-fried avocado topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, cheese, and chipotle taco sauce.
Bacon Nation brings us a Spicy Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bacon Burger. It is a regular beef burger topped with jalapeno bacon and chocolate chip peanut butter cookie dough.
So there you have it! We hope you survive this year's CNE food frenzy.
Be prepared for that food coma, because all of these choices are looking too good to resist, but too decadent to handle. A dangerous combo.
