As Canadians, we take special pride in our country's favourite coffee shop, Tim Hortons. Whether we're off on a road trip, stopping at friend's or on the way to work, we almost always have a Tim Hortons cup in hand. Now, the nationally-loved chain is unveiling an all-new experience for guests. Tim Hortons boutique cafe opens next week in Toronto and you're going to want to see it!
This first-of-its-kind boutique-style cafe will open its doors to the public on July 25. Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, you can find this modern take on a Canadian favourite inside the historic Exchange Tower. Get ready to be blown away when you step inside because this is unlike any Tim Hortons you've ever seen!
If you're stepping in to order one of the traditional muffins and the usual double-double, you're going to be rethinking your order! This Tim Hortons has an entirely different menu consisting of gourmet, upscale sandwiches and donuts.
You'll find 12 completely new 'Dream Donuts' prepared by the bakers on site. With exciting flavours like PB&J, brown butter & sea salt, Froot Loops, creme brulee, and a Canadian classic, maple bacon, you'll have to order an entire box to try them all!
Donuts aren't the only items that got a makeover. This cafe sells 4 'Dream Timbits', and they are to die for! These modern treats are caked delicious toppings and will make your mouth water just by looking at them. Try the Coffee Crumble Cake, Chocolate Truffle, Birthday Explosion, or Cookies N' Creme Timbits.
Of course, you can find more than just desserts at this brand new Tims. They offer an array of new, upscale soups and sandwiches, perfect for any lunch date.
Indulge in the Montreal Reuben, Bacon and Avocado Club, or Pesto Chicken Wrap to name a few. Made with the finest ingredients and served warm to order, these sandwiches will go perfectly wit your Dream Donut or a helping of soup. Try the Tomato Gouda or Lobster Bisque!
Now for the coffee. If you weren't excited before, get excited now because you have never tried coffee like this. Tim Hortons has completed changed their beverage game at this location, and you won't believe what they offer. The most exciting drink is the Draft Latte, which is made with nitro-infused cold brew coffee and layered with milk for a silky, refreshing finish.
There is a long list of espresso-based drinks available, as well as a large selection of teas and tea lattes, including the popular matcha green tea latte. Can't have milk? Not a problem! This premium location offers soy, almond, and oat milk as alternatives for any drink.
I'll be honest, I'm not a huge coffee fan. In fact, I rarely drink it. As soon as I sipped one of the Innovation Cafe's Nitro Cold Brew drinks, I was in love. I had to stop myself from chugging the whole thing at once. With seven specialty brewing methods and a world-class espresso machine, it's no surprise this beverage changed my world!
This location has taken many steps toward a more sustainable eatery. You'll find paper straws, compostable cutlery, and fully recyclable take out packaging. If you're planning on staying, you can enjoy your food and drinks from their sleek, modern chinaware.
The cafe was designed with the heart and soul of Canada in mind, and they achieved an end result that our country can feel proud of. Everything was built to reflect our favourite sport, hockey, as an ode to Tim Horton himself.
You'll love the 'frozen maple leaf' glass window and the light fixtures that mimic hockey helmets. The ceiling is designed with the same panelling used in hockey locker rooms, and you'll even find a hockey stick as an entrance door handle! You can't miss the patriotic Canadian geese painted on several walls, giving the eatery a truly unique, Canadian feel.
Sit down and relax at the many leather seats and sleek wooden tables. You can take advantage of one of the wireless charging stations built conveniently into the bar, and plug your devices into one of the outlets located at each seat.
The store will officially open its doors to the public on July 25 after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 am. There will be prizes drawn for the first several hundred guests to arrive, so get there early! Some of the gifts include a signed Sydney Crosby jersey and a trip for 2 to the Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic. You can visit this location 24 hours a day, so you can always get your Tims fill!
