If sitting back and sipping on a divine cocktail sounds like your ideal evening, then Toronto is the place to be. The city is full of classy lounges and sleek bars that serve up some truly impressive drinks. With so many awesome venues, it can be hard to choose which one to visit on your next evening out. A brand new lounge just graced the city streets, and it's calling your name. Toronto's Lobby cocktail bar is serving up some unreal drinks in a plant-filled paradise.
The Lobby is the latest addition to Toronto's remarkable cocktail scene, and it's bringing with it a truly unique experience. Brought to us by the creator of popular venues LAVELLE and Goldie, the Lobby brings a touch of old-world glamour to Toronto's downtown.
The resto-lounge is tucked away inside a quaint Victorian building on Queen street. Upon entering, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the extensive open space and airy feel to the bar.
The entire ceiling is covered with lush plants, giving you the illusion that you are sipping cocktails outside on a tropical vacation or have found yourself in a mystical forest. Between the greenery, you can spot tons of illuminated mirrors that are perfect for unique selfies.
The walls are hand-painted with dreamy pastels, bringing out the sense of a fantastical oasis. You can relax on comfy plush sofas at marble tables that are big enough to fit your entire friend group and all the cocktails you could ever want.
The seating areas also come with phone charging stations, so you can snap photos all night without worrying about the battery.
If you're looking for a more private area, you can move over to an elevated space at the back, complete with dim lighting and intimate seats perfect for date nights. The venue offers the perfect blend of romance and glamour, making it ideal for dates and outings with friends.
The cocktail list features an abundance of elevated drinks, and you're going to have a hard time deciding which one you want to try first. The far-from-basic Don't Call Me Becky is blended with cayenne pumpkin spice honey and topped with aromatic torched rosemary.
Another notable beverage is the Flying Flower, a drink with a fantastical purple hue thanks to butterfly pea powder syrup.
The lounge serves some delicious small plates as well, which are perfect for pairing with the cocktails. The guacamole is a must-try and the Ahi Tuna will whisk you away to citrusy heaven. For those of you with a sweeter tooth, you can't leave without an order (or two) of the salted caramel churros.
Enjoy your food and drinks while listening to eclectic tunes that will have you standing up to dance in no time. This luxurious experience does come at a steep price point but is a great destination for special occasions, dates, or when you just want to treat yourself. The bar officially opened on October 25, and already people are lining up to get in and check it out.
