Indulge in s'more sticks and every flavour of butter tart!
The cold weather has returned, bringing with it one of the most anticipated winter attractions. The Royal Agricultural Fair officially opened on November 1, and it's already full of excited visitors. From thrilling horse shows to butter sculptures and local vendors, the fair draws 300,000 people every year and is the largest indoor agricultural event in the world. Gazing at adorable goats and wandering through a million square feet of entertainment isn't even the best part. You'll be in heaven after indulging at the Toronto's Royal Winter Fair food vendors who are selling some truly delicious treats.
The Royal Fair showcases tons of local goods to try. You can sample lots of different Ontario products from ice cream to pepperettes, all filled with farm-to-table goodness. The artisan food sampling area is a perfect place for anyone with an appetite to explore, offering all sorts of diverse goodies.
You can also check out a brand new food station this year called Spotlight On Local. Presented by Metro Grocery Stores, this area allows you to taste some of the most recent and innovative foods being created in Ontario. The Champions Showcase will take you through some of the prize-winning dishes of 2019 so you can try them for yourself.
While wandering through the fair, you'll notice a wide selection of Ontario cheese. Satisfy your cheesy cravings by sampling some of the finest products across the province, and maybe even pick up one or two blocks to enjoy at home.
