In Orlando, a Dragon Ball Z themed noodle shop grabbed the world by the dragon balls with their nostalgic space & slurpable soup bowls. We learned that a new location was coming to the Sunshine State about a month ago & we couldn't wait. Now the Soupa Saiyan Jacksonville location is finally open & our excitement levels are over 9000!
After our little sneak peeks into the new Soupa, it really kicked our need for noodles into overdrive. We strapped on our scouter and have been waiting to hear when the Soupa Noodle Bar situated in Jacksonville's Tinseltown Plaza would open. Now we can finally go.
Before, we were told to expect the new location to open at the end of October, but some construction and decor delays pushed us back. After a wait that felt like forever, we've finally seen an opening. Heck to the yes!
With wall-to-wall manga and anime clipping murals, colorful Dragon Ball Z art, and a DBZ-themed neon light, the place gives off a fun and upbeat atmosphere. This new location is everything we could have imagined.
They even have a little outdoor seating space.
Now that they've soft-opened, you can stop in and choose from tons of options on a newly revamped menu. However, until they feel like they've gotten it down pat, they've opted to hold off on offering the "build your own mega bowl" option until a later date.
When they bring it back, you can craft the perfect bowl with your choice of noodles, proteins, and toppings. In the meantime, opt for one of their specials or snag one of their Japanese cheesecakes and a Spirit Bomb energy drink to top off your meal.
Soupa Noodle Bar (also known as Soupa Saiyan 2) is located at 4549 Southside Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida. They will currently be running on soft opening hours, with a grand opening event to be announced at a later date.
We're ready to Kamehame-have us some – if you happen to be in Orlando, check out their original location that started it all. Then, maybe swing by a post-apocalyptic "Fallout"-themed bar hidden inside a comic book shop for a day full of Orlando geekery.
