Orlando Is Getting A Bagel World & It's Going To Be A Carb-Lovers Dream Come True
It’s like a dive bar, but for breakfast
Whether you’re a local surfer or a seasonal snowbird, you have to admit, when thinking about the beach there’s nothing quite more picturesque than your favorite little breakfast nook on the north shore. Perfect for post-surf sessions or midday snacking, Bagel World has been a treasure to New Smyrna’s locals and tourists, and now they’re finally coming to Orlando!
If you had to think of a negative thing to say about Bagel World, it would probably be something along the lines of “I ended up spending way more than I intended because the bagels were just that good.” The reviews have nary a poor word to say, and it’s little wonder.
The menu’s got you covered for all your breakfast needs, and then some. The freshest bagels, warm breakfast wraps, hash browns, deli sandwiches, tacos, coffee and, if you’re celebrating something big or small, beer and wine.
They also have these beautiful things called bialy. A Yiddish word hailing from Poland, bialy bagels are baked instead of boiled beforehand like a regular bagel.
The best part? Instead of a hole in the middle, the depression is filled before baking to create a treasure-trove of savory goodness. Usually, it’s stuffed with diced onions or garlic and topped with melted butter.
Bagel World is set to open in November on Magnolia Ave, where the Two Chefs Seafood and Oyster Bar used to be, bringing all their beachy bagel goodness to downtown. While you wait, you can still tide over your carb cravings at their New Smyrna location, which just opened back up today after Hurricane Dorian!
