Some may find offense at the name of the new grilled cheese spot that just graced downtown Orlando. Some may find a poor attempt at humor. And some, indeed a blessed many, will find their way through the front door and know what true salvation tastes like. Grilled Cheezus just opened in Orlando and we are totally here for it!
The menu is awesome, and they just opened over the weekend, so if you are a connoisseur of all things cheesy, this is a must-visit!
Sam Phillips, former Saddle Up bartender, and her fiancé, Damon Jerden (who is also a managing partner at Downtown Pourhouse) celebrated the grand opening of Grilled Cheezus over the weekend.
If you missed the grand opening, we’re truly sorry. Beer tastings, grilled cheese samples, taproom and brewery tours, college football, and more was featured over the weekend. But judging by what a success it was (there is literally not one negative comment on their Facebook page), there will surely be more rapturous events to come.
With fall in full swing (yes, even in Florida), their menu came at the perfect time. Every sandwich comes waffle pressed with a cup of tomato bisque for dipping.
From the classic Grilled Cheezus, to the Italian inspired The Pope¸ to the Chuck Norris featuring blue cheese and roast beef (because what else would you call it?), rest assured you’ll be making many a trip to the promised land to try it all.
For dessert, you get a sandwich-sized s’more with Nutella spread, marshmallow fluff, and graham cracker crumbles, with plenty of craft beer to choose from to wash it down with.
Grilled Cheezus is located inside Brew Theory, a contract brewery where you can experience the science behind your favorite beer in their taproom.
So whether you’re looking for a cheesy snack, some craft beer, or a hangover cure, praise be to Cheezus!
