Back in May, we learned about a new place coming to The Bay where we could suck down boozy juice pouches while we play retro arcade games. The new arcade bar in Tampa, Park & Rec, has finally opened β€” and we're so ready to sip & slay.

Park & Rec made a name for themselves at their first hot spot in St. Pete with their motto "Youth has no age"; we Tampians have patiently awaited to reignite our nostalgic 90s childhoods at their new location in The Big Guava, and now we finally can.

The new space is a 9,900-square-foot, two-story, adult mega-playground. Outside you'll find a dog-friendly grassy space with cornhole, giant connect 4 & a shaded bar; inside you'll find tons of fun ways to unleash your inner kid again while enjoying thumping tunes.

Test your shootin' skills with a game of giant beer pong, have button-mashing madness with some retro arcade titles like Ms. Pacman & Galaga, hit the flippers like the Pinball Wizard you are on the pinball tables, & so much more. It seems like it might be time to level-up!

Of course, no arcade bar is complete without the bar part, right? Park & Rec's Tampa location features a menu similar to the downtown St. Pete spot, bringing back their boozy & juicy Capri Sun-like 'Party Pouches', wines, beers, spiked seltzers, alcoholic adult slushies & mixed drinks with fun names like 'Donkey Kong', the 'Dirty Pop' that has pop rocks in it, & 'Ice, Ice Baby'.

They even have some mega munchies on the menu such as pizza, burgers on glazed buns, chicken nuggets, nachos, flaming hot Cheeto crusted grilled cheese sandwiches...the list of drool-worthy bar bites goes on.

The new location's home is right around the block from The Florida Aquarium at 290 S. Meridian Ave. in Tampa and will be open from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. today Wednesday, Oct. 30th; the perfect excuse to spend a day petting jellyfish & checking out sharks at the aquarium, then end the night with a boozy juice pouch and slaying all the arcade games.

We already know what we're doing this weekend. An overview of Park & Rec Tampa can be seen below. If you're looking for more awesome bars in The Bay, try to find these 6 hidden Tampa bars that will spice up your nights.
