This Whimsical Florida Museum Serves Boozy Sunday Brunches Inside a Massive Glass Dome
If you like soaking up the last bit of the weekend with your BFFs over brunch, you might really love brunching in an extraordinary location. That is now more than possible, thanks to a weekly event at this museum near Tampa. Floridians can now enjoy their favorite brunch treats and grown-up drinks in a giant, glass dome.
Located right on the marine waters ofin St. Petersburg, the Salvador Dalí Museum is serving huge Spanish-style brunches in their famous Cafe Gala every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The best part is that the eatery is easily one of Florida's most gorgeous, with an expansive glass wall that curves into a massive skylight ceiling called The Enigma.
That's right, this dome has a name. The Enigma is 75 feet tall and is made up of 1,062 pieces of stunning geodesic glass that practically invites the sun to pour down on the cafe.
This basically means that you and your BFFs can snap some truly stunning photos with a cute, whimsical backdrop.
In the past, the cafe has served yummy Barcelona classics like seafood paella and tortilla española. But, you are definitely going to want to keep an eye on the menu, because it changes weekly in order to keep things fresh.
Can you say bon appetit — or in this case, "buen provecho?"
You can, however, count on the boozy drink menu to stay pretty much the same.
This is fantastic news because cocktails at the museum are both cheap and delicious. Cava mimosas and sangrias are both only $6.50 a pour. More exotic drinks like Basque Cider are slightly more expensive at $8 dollars a pop.
That is a super surreal deal, especially considering that you will be drinking in a prime location.
For those artsy folks who are looking to spend a whole afternoon perusing Dalí's funkiest pantings, admission to the museum costs $25 dollars.
Brunch goers who aren't feeling the full museum experience can explore the museum "Avant-Garden" for free. Here you can wander through a tree maze, stick your hand under Dalí's Fountain of Youth and otherwise hang out right on the Tampa Bay waterfront.
What better way to end your weekend than with a cold boozy drink in a truly spectacular setting?
