Are you looking for food the size of your hunger? Then this giant 5-pound burrito in Florida has to be on your food bucket list. You can go to Sandbar Sports Grill with your group of friends and share this monstrous entree, but if you think you can conquer the challenge of devouring this huge baby-size burrito by yourself, go for it!
Just in case you need some encouragement, we decided to speak with an expert on the matter. Ricardo Corbucci has forged a career out of food challenges. The Brazilian considers himself to be a professional eater and fitness enthusiast, and he ate this very burrito.
He started eating big in November 2016 and already has more than 183 thousand followers on Instagram, and an astounding 1.39 million on his Corbucci Eats channel on YouTube.
He shared with us his secrets to defeat this giant Mexican delight.
But first, let's talk a bit about the burrito. This culinary enormity is available at Sandbar Sports Grill in Miami and Cocoa Beach. It is prepared like any burrito, with your choice of meats, rice, beans, cheese, and chipotle sauce.
In the Miami restaurant, you can have just the burrito, but in Cocoa Beach, it comes on a bed of salad and accompanied by abundant portions of sour cream and guacamole. You can also order it dipped in queso.
You can just enjoy it, but if you accept the challenge, they will ask you not to share it and finish it in an hour or less. If you do not, you will be shamed on their social media, but if you succeed you'll get your pic in the wall of fame and get a free T-shirt.
So back to Ricardo.
We asked Ricardo Corbucci the time he invested to eat the whole burrito, "5 minutes with 12 seconds," he replied proudly. The video of the challenge has more than 400,000 views on YouTube where he shares credit with Nathan Figueroa, a fellow eater.
As for advice for beginners, he says: "it is a 5-pound burrito, so the person must be accustomed to eating at least abundant meals and be confident that they can win even before the challenge begins," he told Narcity exclusively.
Another important tip is to avoid drinking lots of liquids. According to Corbucci, even the water will take up space in the stomach. With these tips, you are now ready to face this challenge.
