If you've been anywhere in Latin America to munch on authentic eats, you may feel that nothing can compare. However, this Puerto Rican top chef is now cooking up some of best burritos in Atlanta. This brand new spot in Midtown will soon open for business and you can indulge in all the spicy Mexican bites.
El Burro Pollo, owned by Bravo's Top Chef Hector Santiago (who also owns the popular El Super Pan in ATL), is a Mexican-style burrito stand that just soft opened its first permanent location yesterday at The Collective Food Hall.
This new elevated food court at Coda in Midtown is just now starting to bloom, welcoming additional ethnic fare from places like Poke Burri, which will join El Burro Pollo as one of the first restaurants to open its doors.
El Burro (slated to open on March 19) is not your run-of-the-mill local Tex-Mex spot. You'll find super authentic culinary masterpieces inspired by the Pacific West Coast of Mexico, according to What Now Atlanta.
Guests can enjoy the massive iconic "Juarez, Mexico style" loaded burritos that carefully wrap a flavorful mix of three-chile marinated Springer Mountain chicken, beef barbacoa, pork chile or smoked tofu with "burro pollo" slaw with cabbage, carrots, radish, cilantro and more.
The spot is also known for its fresh "West Coast" ceviche, served including the Vuelve a la Vida with poached shrimp and octopus, oysters, clams, tomato, clam juice, fish sauce, lime, Valentina, green onion and cilantro.
You can also hit up the fully-stocked bar to wash it down with cervezas, tragos and margs.
If you're ready to party, you might even want to check out the menu dedicated to tequila shots.
