Donuts make everyone happy, simple as that. Donuts are even better when they look like a work of art and are just too pretty to eat, and that is what this new shop in West Midtown serves up. The second location of Doughnut Dollies is finally opening tomorrow in Atlanta and you have to check it out.
Doughnut Dollies is opening their second location at 7:00 a.m., until supplies last tomorrow, Friday, June 28 and you have to be there. These donuts are incredible and unique in their own way and you have never had any like these before, as you can see from their reviews on their Facebook.
Their first location opened in 2015 in Marietta, Georgia and the owners are Chefs Anna and Chris Gatti who have built this business from the ground up.
The name of the shop comes from being a tribute to the actual doughnut dollies of the American Red Cross way back in the day. These women would volunteer to hand deliver donuts to the soldiers during the Vietnam War.
If you are on the go, you can pick up your donuts from the walk-up window, or from inside the shop that seats a maximum of 12.
The shop has many different classic flavors, and special flavors to choose from. You can expect to see options like Boston Cream, Brown Butter Peach Cake, and Lemon Poppy.
At the opening, Dollies will be featuring more fun flavors including Rosemary Nectarine Shortcake, a brioche donut stuffed with whipped cream and fresh nectarines.
If your mouth isn't watering yet, it will be after you step into the shop and smell all of the delicousness.
If you have ever wanted those cute donuts that spell out a saying or a phrase, you are in luck! Dollies makes those super creative designs as well.
All of the donuts are made in-house with fresh toppings, so no factory-created goods here. Everything is handmade to perfection.
Dollies donuts range from $2.00 to $3.75. You can order online or schedule a pickup via the website. You can also preorder donuts for events and special occasions.
The full menu is online with all of the donuts' ingredients if you need more time to choose the best one for your tastebuds.
Doughnut Dollies will also be introducing a cold-brew coffee bar in their shop once they get things up and running. Jittery Joes Coffee is always served and you can grab a cup of joe tomorrow to go with your treat.
