It seems as though a new restaurant is popping up in ATL nearly every week, but business has been put on hold for many new (and existing) eateries. However, this new Italian restaurant in Atlanta isn't letting hardship affect its progress. This new authentic spot actually opened earlier than expected, offering solely take-out options for now.
Grana is a brand new authentic spot that opened yesterday, March 19, 2020, on Piedmont Avenue. The Neapolitan cuisine is directly inspired by the robust Southern Italian cooking of the family executive chef Pat Pascarella.
According to What Now Atlanta, the restaurant didn't plan to open until later this spring. However, the team decided to open its doors to customers in advance to feed the community.
Even when you're taking the food to go and bringing it back home, you might feel like you're in Naples as you dig into their specialty Neapolitan pizza pies, handmade Italian pasta, wood-fired steak and meatball flights.
Their current takeout menu lets you indulge in appetizers including burrata toast, crispy smoked mozzarella, veal meatballs and roasted broccolini.
Main dishes include unique, true-to-Italy pizzas like truffle with stracchino, burrata, robiolina and black truffle, plus a prosciutto option with stracchino, arugula, balsamic and hazelnuts.
They've also got chicken entrees and pasta creations including lasagna, torchietto and tortelli. Available sandwiches include chicken parm, meatball parm, prosciutto and porchetta.
You can also throw in one of their famous cannolis covered in chocolate chips.
You can explore even more yummy options once they officially open their doors for dine-in after the outbreak settles.
Address: 1835 N.E. Piedmont Ave., Atlanta, GA
