You Can Cool Off With Prosecco & Popsicles At This Party In Georgia In September
Nothing says summer like sips and swings.
Popsicles aren't just for kids anymore; the icy treats are always great for cooling off from the Georgia heat (that seems neverending) and they are always 10 times better when you pair them with alcohol. What better way to keep the summer vibes going than to enjoy a fruity popsicle with a splash of prosecco? They practically go together like peanut butter and jelly. Join in on the fruity, boozy fun at the popsicle and prosecco pairing in Macon in September.
The Society Garden, a massive beer garden and wine bar in Macon, will be hosting its first ever "Popsicles and Prosecco at the Garden" event on Sept. 14, right before we welcome fall (with open arms of course). Let's be honest, we know the heat isn't leaving us anytime soon, so these pairings will be the perfect way to cool off and feel the buzz.
The Society Garden first opened in 2017 and sells over 100 different beers and wines from across the country and around the world. Their massive outdoor space accommodates over 500 people, according to Megan Evans, Co-Owner of The Society Garden.
In this space lies a stage for live music every weekend and cute swing chairs at the bar. They recently opened up an indoor area for guests to escape from the Georgia heat. The Society Garden is also dog-friendly so bring your fur babies to join in on the fun.
Popsicles and Prosecco at the Garden will consist of several pairing stations set up outside. You can speak to a sommelier at each station to learn about different pairings before you try them (pinkies up). You'll be given a popsicle to dip in your glass of Prosecco to let the popsicle melt and let the flavors mesh.
You can expect to taste pretty and fun pairings such as lavender Prosecco with a lemonade popsicle. These flavors complement each other well and they will satisfy both your taste buds and body temp.
There will be live music all day at the event featuring bands like Georgia natives Sean Williams and Reggie Trombone Love. There will likely be food available too. "We are going to try to book a food truck, we just don't know which one yet," says Brad Evans, co-owner.
Brad also told Narcity that as of now, attendees will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. However, he is trying to set up online tickets for advanced purchasing, so keep an eye out for updates on their Facebook page. Narcity will also follow the event and provide updates when possible.
The Society Garden hosts lots of additional events including Maker's Markets, crafty workshops and yoga pop-ups. You can also rent out a space called The Green Room for your own private party or event. For more sweet and bubbly fun, sip on some .
