This Trendy New Orleans Bar Serves Gigantic 3-Gallon "Hurricanes" Filled With Rum
Drinking team: Assemble!
There's an entire world to discover in New Orleans, but let's give credit where it's due. The city is known for partying, so there's no shame in indulging in the nightlife whether you're a longtime resident or a visitor. If you really want to go out with a bang, there's a New Orleans bar with larger than life drinks. You might need two people to hold this bad boy up - it's just that massive.
Pat O'Brien's is famous for their "Hurricane" cocktail, which is a rum and passionfruit infused concoction that the entire city swoons over. The bar took things to another level when they put the "Hurricane Magnum" on the menu.
The three-gallon drink has atleast 32 ounces of rum in it (could be more if your bartender has a heavy hand) and is the equivalent to 16 glasses of the average-sized Hurricanes. Let's just say this is the only drink you'll need if you decide to take on the monster cocktail.
You'll likely need some help to finish it off, which is why the bar will provide you with plenty of straws. It's meant for six people, but a few more or less doesn't hurt.
Be ready to blow some serious dough because the drink is $200. Once you split it between six people, it's not so bad and brings the price down to around $33 each.
If the Hurricane Magnum is far too much to take on, you can opt for any one of their other creative cocktails, which pack an equally strong punch.
The party keeps going in NOLA at this upcomingand the next month.
Address: 718 St. Peter, New Orleans, LA 70116
Why you need to go: You'll only need this one drink for the most epic night on the town.
