Traveling back in time is a little tricky these days but thankfully there are places around Texas that feel like they are from an entirely different era. This super cute retro diner in Waco will take you back to the 50s and serve up some delicious food, too. Kim's Diner has some great old school eats that will melt your taste buds away.
The entire thing is decked out in the cutest 50s decor. People often show up with their best greaser attire, and there is even an Elvis dummy in the corner you can take pics with. Almost everything is entirely retro and even the ceiling fans have old school Coke stamps on them.
The food joint has old American favorites like steak fingers, Texas toast, and plenty of eggs. They also whip up some pretty big burgers. When we say pretty big, we mean these burgers are the size of your head and go for around $20 a plate. Of course, no retro diner would be complete without shakes, and thankfully, Kim's Diner has plenty to choose from. Their meals start at around $10 and work their way up from there.
The shop is open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, they are open from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and they are closed on Sundays.
